Job Purpose Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and repair activities for equipment and systems within the Carbon-in-Leach (CIL) gold processing plant. Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of motors, panels, circuits, and instrumentation to support continuous production and minimize downtime.

• Location: Riyadh 

Major Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive electrical maintenance on CIL plant equipment including motors, MCCs, pumps, agitators, control panels, and electrical circuits.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults, trace wiring issues, repair damaged components, and restore system functionality safely and efficiently.
• Inspect electrical components such as breakers, relays, contactors, VFDs, distribution boards, sensors, and process instrumentation.
• Conduct testing, calibration, and verification of electrical and control devices supporting gold processing operations.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform immediate electrical interventions to reduce operational downtime.
• Install, connect, and upgrade electrical systems, wiring, and equipment in accordance with industrial electrical standards.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work, maintenance logs, checklists, spare parts usage, and technical findings.
• Support commissioning activities, plant modifications, and electrical improvement projects.
• Follow all electrical safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out, arc-flash precautions, and PPE requirements.
• Coordinate with processing, mechanical, and instrumentation teams to ensure smooth and continuous plant operation.

Essential Skills:

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electricity, or related technical specialization.
• Training or certification in industrial electrical systems or plant maintenance is an advantage.
• Experience as an industrial electrician in process plants, mining operations, gold processing facilities, or heavy industrial environments.
• Familiarity with MCC systems, VFDs, sensors, and electrical troubleshooting within processing plants.

Required Experience:

• Several years working with low- and medium-voltage systems, including switchgear, MCCs, transformers, and distribution panels.
• Proven experience maintaining motors, including DOL, star-delta, VFD-driven, and soft-starter configurations.
• Exposure to continuous-process plants such as cement, chemical, steel, or manufacturing.
• Strong background diagnosing faults in power circuits, control circuits, and interlocks.
• Ability to respond quickly during equipment failures, identify root causes, and restore operation safely.
• Experience using diagnostic tools such as multimeters, clamp meters, meggers, and thermography.
• Experience executing PM tasks based on schedules and OEM guidelines.
• Familiarity with insulation resistance testing, thermographic inspections, and basic condition monitoring.
• Ability to document maintenance activities in a CMMS.
• Experience installing cable trays, conduits, wiring, motors, and control panels.
• Support for commissioning new equipment, verifying protection settings, grounding, and interlocks.
