Role Overview:
We are looking for a passionate, expert Barista to be the heart of our new cafe in Riyadh. You aren’t just making coffee; you are crafting an experience. As our lead coffee professional, you will oversee daily operations, ensure the highest quality of every pour, and build a loyal community of coffee lovers through exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coffee Excellence: Prepare and serve a wide variety of coffee drinks (espresso, pour-overs, V60, Chemex, etc.) with precision and consistent latte art.
- Menu Development: Curate and update our coffee menu, including seasonal specials and signature Riyadh-inspired blends.
- Cafe Management: Oversee daily inventory, manage supplier relationships, and ensure the shop meets all health and safety regulations.
- Customer Experience: Greet customers with warmth, offer expert recommendations, and maintain a sophisticated, welcoming atmosphere.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and calibration of espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment to ensure peak performance.
- Staff Mentorship: (If applicable) Train junior staff on brewing techniques and customer service standards.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in specialty coffee or high-end cafes.
- Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of coffee bean origins, roasting profiles, grind adjustment, and extraction ratios.
- Leadership: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage shop flow during peak Riyadh rush hours.
- Communication: Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is a significant advantage for connecting with the local community.
